Aticco Lab

We start the last week of January and the first week of February referring to the great event of Aticco, the coworking in Barcelona: the inauguration of the fourth floor!

There are only a few days left to officially welcome our new coworking spaces. If you want to be one of our new coworkers, pay attention because in this post you will meet some of your neighbors of #LaCuartaDeAticco.pay attention because in this post you are going to meet some of your neighbors of #LaCuartaDeAticco.

Although the inauguration will be held on FEBRUARY 15 at 18h on the fourth floor of Aticco, it already opened its doors days ago so that coworkers could start working and be prepared for the inaugural event. Specifically, #LaCuarta received its first inhabitants on January 15 by the hand of Elena Belloso, the community builder of this new floor. Do you want to meet them?

New coworkers, new projects.

Some of the coworkers who already occupy many of the spaces of #LaCuartaDeAticco wanted to share their projects and ambitions with the veteran coworkers of the fifth floor and the attic and, of course, with those who will soon be their coworkers. Together we will create a very good atmosphere not only for work, but also between people.

Here are the questions we asked them and, of course, their answers. Here we go!

Tell us about your project.

The first coworker is Marta. She is part of Shedd, an app for buying and selling used fashion items. "Our ambitions go much further. We want to revolutionize the way the planet consumes fashion, but we believe that fashion is just the beginning," says Marta. Shedd is a young start up witha lot of desire to change the world, because its goal, as Marta says, has always been "to make better use of belongings worldwide".

From the hand of Gigya we meet Victor. His company was founded in Tel Aviv and is headquartered in Mountain View, with offices in New York, London, Paris, Hamburg, Sydney and now Barcelona. "We are dedicated to identifying, engaging and creating unique views of customers to create relevant and personalized experiences on websites and mobile apps," is how Victor describes Gigya's work.

Jordi told us about his project called Insitu. It was bornfrom the world of reform and rehabilitation of spaces in order to adapt to theneeds of each client and to realize their goals. Jordi tells us that Insitu "minimizes costs and guarantees compliance with the deadlines for the execution of all its works".

Luis Carlos and Rafael belong to FinTechStage. Present in ten countries, this company helps create community in companies that use the latest information and communication technologies. Their role is to facilitate financial services through the three basic pillars of FinTechStage: interaction, co-creation and lateral thinking.

Why coworking as an office?

Although the company was born in Dubai, Shedd's team decided to open a tech hub in Barcelona in order to be closer to its markets in our continent and in turn attract more and better international talent. "Due to our rapid growth in the team, we need a space that can adapt to our constant changes." This is the main reason why Shedd has chosen our coworking as a place to work.

As for Gigya, shis team began to grow. They decided to look for a workspace where they could develop the company's functions and make communication between them more fluid and instantaneous. Victor tells us that "the best option was a coworking space to be in contact with more people working in other sectors and thus enrich the day to day in the office".

For Insitu it is very important the possibility of sharing space with other professionals from different sectors and thus generate relationships between them. Why a coworking? Above all for the immediacy of the implementation of its activity, leaving aside the need to invest in works.

"Being in a coworking space allows us to fully concentrate on the day-to-day business of FinTechStage." This is how Luis Carlos and Rafael describe their choice: coworking as an office.

What made you fall in love with Aticco?

"What better way to attract talent than being in the center of Barcelona". Marta, from Shedd, tells us that at Aticco she surrounds herself with other start up professionals as well as being able to enjoy the excellent views of our city from the terrace.

For Gigya, the final choice was Aticco due to the professionalism of the team, although for Victor the coffee machine, the location and the terrace are also very important. We love that our coworkers are at ease!

Specifically, Jordi and his Insitu team also chose Aticco for several reasons. The first one Jordi points out is the luminosity, due to the fact that the coworking space is located in a "privileged floor par excellence as it is a penthouse, and an exclusive location in the center of the city". Insitu considers comfort at work to be very important, as this is where its team spends more hours a day.

FinTechStage was clear that it wanted to develop its project in a coworking and, more precisely, Aticco. "We were dazzled by the amazing facilities and location, but it has been the community Aticco that has finally convinced us."

And you, do you need more reasons to choose Aticco as your coworking space? Remember that our fourth floor is already open and has spaces available... don't miss yours!
