Success Stories Aticco: The Evolution of Podimo in Spain

In this issue of Success Stories by Aticcowe would like to tell you the story of Podimoa company specializing in audio entertainment that has experienced impressive growth since its arrival in Spain in 2020. We had the opportunity to talk to Isabel SalazarPodimo's Country Manager in Spain, who told us how it has been in the Spanish market and how Aticco has been a key ally in it.

What is Podimo?

Podimo is a subscription-based premium entertainment service offering a wide variety of podcasts and audiobooks, ad-free. Since its founding in 2019 in Copenhagen, Podimo has positioned itself as the go-to platform for audio story lovers. In 2020, the company arrived in Spain and has since experienced spectacular growth, launching an average of one hundred exclusive and original podcasts per year. 

Podimo's growth in Spain

The pandemic boosted podcast consumption in Spain, and since then, the industry has continued to grow. Isabel points out that, despite this rapid growth, Spain continues to lead in terms of podcast listener penetration at the European level, exceeding 40%. In this context, Podimo has bet on both established creators and new voices, expanding its catalog with narrative, documentary and conversational content. In 2023, Podimo opened its first recording studio in Madrid, strategically located in the workspace Aticco María de Molina, and launched the Talent Huba mentoring and coaching program for amateur podcasters.
