How to lead the scalability of your company

12 Feb 2024

We started with our first session of Startup Talks of the year in Aticco Bogatelland we did it hand in hand with Wavveup in a panel discussion about the side of scaling a company that we don't always hear about. In this panel we have the perspective of leaders who are changing the game in the ecosystem: Alex AbrilCEO & Co-Founder of FLiPO; Mike CuingnetCEO & Co-Founder of Tennders; Freddy TorresAcquisition Manager & Co-Founder of HolaPlace; Berta MadueñoCo-Founder of Tattoos; and Albert XavierCo-CEO and Co-Founder of Wavveup, who moderated the roundtable.  The talk was about the challenges that the growth of a company entails internally, understanding that when a company scales, everything scales with it. Processes, technology, and even the people who are part of it, are pushed to the limit, and just as this presents an opportunity to enhance everything that works well in the organization, it also causes the growth of what does not work well at all. With this in mind, our speakers took off their filters and spoke with complete transparency about their climbing experience, with leadership and the talent that makes up the team being very important points in the conversation.  From how they understand and execute the leadership position in their company, to the way they manage the challenges that growth puts in the way to »pay the price» it implies. And on the other hand, the importance of giving the team the opportunity to grow with the company, prioritizing internal promotions and providing training to prepare them for the changes the organization will face.  In addition, at a general level, when the time comes to scale, it is also an opportunity to evaluate and document processes and methodologies, as well as to put order from all departments to be able to replicate what works and modify what does not, and thus move forward in an optimal way.   Afterwards, as in all our events, it was time to move the talk to the terrace and have a good networking.  We appreciate the participation of our speakers and their openness to share their personal and professional experience on business growth.  See you at the next Startup Talks session!
