We are opening the largest coworking space in Southern Europe

Aticco Diagrame, the largest coworking space in Southern Europe, has opened its doors in Barcelona’s 22@ district and is already 75% occupied, bringing together startups, corporations, investors, and international talent

Last week we officially celebrated the opening of Aticco Diagrame, the new coworking space for innovation and entrepreneurship located in the heart of Barcelona’s 22@ district.

With over 20,000 square meters of space and a capacity for more than 2,000 people, Aticco Diagrame the largest coworking space in Spain and Southern Europe, cementing Barcelona’s status as one of the continent’s leading hubs for technology and entrepreneurship.

Throughout Open Doors Week, we opened the doors of our building so that entrepreneurs, startups, corporations, investors, and professionals could experience firsthand a space designed for working, connecting, and creating new opportunities. This week was made possible by Spendesk, the partner behindDiagrame Open Doors Week.

Because Diagrame just another flexible office building. It’s a space designed to foster connections, attract talent, and continue to strengthen Barcelona’s entrepreneurial and tech ecosystem.

Currently, the building is already 75% occupied. Among the tenants are international companies, growing startups, and professionals from many different countries, Diagrame whom Diagrame dynamic, international, and ever-evolving environment.

Although companies like Back Market and Mixpanel are already part of the Diagrame community, the space also reflects the constant energy of entrepreneurs, startups, and independent professionals seeking a much more flexible and connected way of working. From hot desks to private offices tailored to growing teams, Diagrame been designed to accommodate new ways of working and collaborating.

 

An official ceremony to officially open Aticco Diagrame

 

Open Doors Week kicked off with the official opening ceremony at Aticco Diagrame.

During the event, Gabriel Espín, CEO of Aticco, highlighted the role of this new space as a driver of growth and investment for Barcelona, emphasizing the importance of creating high-performance environments where, in addition to working, the entrepreneurial community is also nurtured and supported.

For her part, Itziar Blasco, Executive Director of Business and Entrepreneurship at Barcelona Activa, reaffirmed Barcelona’s role as an innovation hub in Southern Europe and the value of projects like Diagrame continuing to attract talent, technology, and entrepreneurship to the city.

Following the official ceremony and the ribbon-cutting, attendees were able to tour the building’s various spaces and discover everything that makes Aticco Diagrame unique: flexible workspaces, terraces, common areas, wellness areas, meeting rooms, and an environment designed to foster both productivity and connections between people.

 

 

Finance Insights by Spendesk

 

The Open Doors Week program continued with Finance Insights by Spendesk, a session aimed at CFOs and financial leaders that addressed some of the major challenges that will shape the future of the sector.

The event featured several panel discussions on financial efficiency, expense management, and the impact of artificial intelligence on financial operations, as well as a keynote address by Axel Demazy, CEO of Spendesk.

The event brought together financial professionals and leaders from Barcelona’s tech ecosystem for a session designed to share experiences, spark conversation, and connect talent withinDiagrame’s new space.

Emilio Duró: Leadership, Attitude, and Energy

 

One of the highlights of the week was Emilio Duró's inspirational keynote speech.

In a session focused on leadership, attitude, and energy management, Emilio shared his thoughts on how to tackle professional and personal challenges in a constantly changing environment, emphasizing the importance of motivation, optimism, and adaptability.

The event brought together professionals, entrepreneurs, and members of Barcelona’s business community at one of the first major gatherings held at Diagrame.

 

 

Opening Party: A Celebration for the Community

 

Wednesday’s events concluded withDiagrame’s Opening Party, a celebration that brought together founders, startups, investors, corporations, and professionals from the 22@ district to officially welcome the new space.

Networking, music, activities, and community—all in an afternoon designed to bring together the people who are shaping the future of Barcelona’s entrepreneurial and tech ecosystem.

On Thursday, we’ll continue our program with an open session to take a closer look at the work of Aticco and some of the projects driven by our innovation and venture capital ecosystem.

During the event, entrepreneurs and attendees were able to connect with the community, exchange ideas, and learn about new opportunities related to investment, acceleration, and startup growth.

 

 

Meet the Investors: When the Pitch Takes a Different Turn

 

Open Doors Week continued with a new edition of the 22@ Afterworks, organized in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Committee of 22@Network Barcelona and Aticco .

Under the title “Meet the Investors: When the Pitch Switches Sides”, the event offered a different format than usual: instead of startups presenting their projects, the investment funds themselves took the stage to explain how they analyze opportunities, what they really look for in a startup, and what factors lead them to invest in or reject a project.

A session designed to make the world of investing much more transparent, practical, and useful for founders and entrepreneurs.

In addition to the reverse pitches by the participating funds, the event included an open Q&A session where attendees could ask questions directly to investors and gain a better understanding of how fundraising actually works from the inside.

The event began with opening remarks by Isabel Sabadí, director of 22@Network Barcelona, and Quino Fernández, CEO and co-founder of Aticco , who also officially unveiled the 22@ Demo Day 2026.
