How to lead the scalability of your company

We kicked off our first Startup Talks session of the year at Aticco Bogatell, and we did it together with Wavveup in a round table about the side of scaling a company that they don't always tell us about. In this panel we had the perspective of the leaders who are changing the game in the ecosystem: Alex Abril, CEO & Co-Founder of FLiPO; Mike Cuingnet, CEO & Co-Founder of Tennders; Freddy Torres, Acquisition Manager & Co-Founder of HolaPlace; Berta Madueño, Co-Founder of Tattoos; and Albert Xavier, Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Wavveup, who moderated the round table.

The talk was about the internal challenges of growing a company, understanding that when a company scales, everything scales with it. Processes, technology, and even the people who are part of it are pushed to the limit, and just as this presents an opportunity to enhance everything that works well in the organization, it also causes what doesn't work quite so well to grow.

With this perspective, our speakers took off their filters and spoke to us with complete transparency about their experience scaling, with leadership and the talent that makes up the team being very important points in the conversation.

From how they understand and execute the leadership position in their company, to the way they manage the challenges that growth puts in the way to "pay the price" that it implies. And on the other hand, the importance of giving the team the opportunity to grow together with the company, of prioritizing internal promotions and offering training to prepare them for the changes that the organization will face.

In addition, on a general level, when the time comes to scale, it is also an opportunity to evaluate and document processes and methodologies, as well as to organize all departments in order to replicate what works and modify what does not, and thus move forward in an optimal way.

Afterwards, as in all our events, it was time to move the talk to the terrace and do some good networking.

We appreciate the participation of our speakers and their openness in sharing their personal and professional experience regarding business growth.

See you at the next Startup Talks session!
