Tips for creating a work routine

Despite going to work every day, carrying out tasks on time during working hours, and being more than used to performing our functions in the company, it is difficult to organize a list of actions to be carried out. This consequently leads to low work productivity that can be reflected in our results.
The main thing when organizing a good work routine is to be clear about what tasks you have ahead of you. It is also very important to be patient and know how long (minutes, hours, days, weeks...) you have to deliver these tasks. Do you have paper and pen at your fingertips? Write down our tips!
1. Write a list of your tasks
After writing down the tips we give you to organize your work routine in your notebook, make a list of tasks.
What do you have to deliver today? It is very important to use an overview of everything you have to do during your workday. It will be easier if you arrange the tasks in different rows with a small description of each one.
The best thing is to organize the tasks in a logical order. As a recommendation, choose to write the most complex tasks first that will take the most time; in decreasing order so that the last ones you do are the simplest.
2. Divide the working day into hours
Take a split table during your working hours and write down in each box what task you will perform in each of them. This is another way to get an overview of the tasks you have for today, but specifying more the time you want to dedicate to each of them.
Another good idea is using post it. What would an office be without them? Stick them on the wall, on the computer, or wherever you can see them best. It will be easier for you to differentiate each task by color or shape.
3. Distractions, zero!
Please, before starting any task... get rid of distractions! Such as your smartphone, tablet games, WhatsApp Web, and many other things that can make you think about nonsense instead of finishing your work.
Keep away from your sight anything that may be more interesting than your working day. It may be that working from home is even more tempting, the fact of being distracted by the long list of things that could end your concentration (we understand by this the sofa, the television, the bed... and even the fridge).
Regarding the last point, did you know that your work productivity will be favored if you work from a place other than your own home? We'll tell you about it in the fourth point.
4. Determine a fixed workplace
An office, a coworking space... these are two ideal places to carry out your work tasks. Avoid working from home as much as possible to eliminate the distractions we mentioned earlier. The environment, the obligation to leave the house, the relationships with other people... everything influences your work productivity.
In addition, working in a coworking space is much more dynamic and your routine will be less aggressive with your ability to concentrate. Haven't you tried a coworking space yet?
5. Value your free time
If you complete your tasks in the times you have previously set, you are sure to have a space for yourself. Resting is part of the routine and it is always good to take a break between hours. Put work aside as soon as you have everything well tied up and relax, it will be beneficial for your mind and, therefore, for your health.
