Case Study: Aticco Workspaces hosts Toyota Startup Awards

Toyota Motor Europe teamed up with the accelerator ISDI to find innovative solutions within the inclusive mobility sector. Both organized the Toyota Startup Awardsa technology awards focused on people's mobility. Toyota was looking for a large and innovative space and decided on Aticco Workspaces. Among more than 200 applications from startups in more than 45 countriesthe company selected eight projects related to inclusive mobility. Toyota decided to look for a space within the startup ecosystem of Barcelona to hold the event. A space that was 100% inclusive in terms of mobility, where they could install the booths of the startups that had been designed, and had complementary spaces for meetings between startups and investors, the deliberation of the jury, and a space for interviews, among others.

Aticco Workspaces and the event

  The event lasted 2 days: on the first day an internal networking event was organized for about 40 attendees; during the second day the startups presented their projects with a pitch to investors, and finally the final and awards ceremony was held.  To solve the space challenge, it was agreed to use a multipurpose space that stands out for its natural light, innovative design and bar service for attendees. This is where the activities that brought together the largest number of people were held. For the small satellite meetings, the Toyota and ISDI team had several meeting rooms and private offices at their disposal. In addition, as a complementary space for networking, the terrace on the seventh floor was used, where a cocktail menu was served while enjoying ambient music.   Toyota wanted to broadcast the final of the Toyota Startups Awards via streaming through its networks. Aticco provided the technical material and specialized staff for high quality streaming, which ensured that the final was visible from all over the world. The event was a great successand all the organizers were very satisfied with both the space and the management that our team did to make sure everything was perfect. For us it was a pleasure to host an event of such dimensions, and above all to enjoy a project based on social impact and inclusiveness.
