HR 4.0: Empowering the talent of the future

In a new session of Startup Talks in Aticco Bogatell, we collaborated with Pack to present this round table focused on the new tools in the market that seek to enhance the processes of the HR department.

For this talk, we had the participation of four startups who shared their technological solutions focused on making the most of these processes, with the expert voices of: Pietro Picogna, CEO of Pack; Camille Haddjeri, Growth & Sales Partner of TRech International; Leo Giménez, CEO of Go4clic; James Basha, Founder & CEO of Entreprelearners; and Benoit Menardo, Co-Founder of Payflow, who moderated the panel.

Without beating around the bush, we went straight to the point and started talking about 4.0 trends in HR. The common denominator among the speakers when talking about the new tools was their focus on talent development within the team.

"Talent is a key role, it is the raw material." - Leo Giménez (Go4clic)

How can we boost talent? The key is to take advantage of technology to generate training opportunities for the development of skills at a personal and professional level, whether with an objective of upskilling for the development of new skills, or reskilling, to strengthen and improve skills according to the needs of the company.

"We have to guarantee a customized development path, so that they can give their best version, and that's why technology helps us." - Pietro Picogna (Pack)

In the implementation of these strategies, one of the challenges is how to manage the budget effectively to meet the objectives of the workers, as well as identify which resources and tools are worth investing in to truly impact their growth.

“Companies exist to provide value, but they need people. A company has to grow to give value, they have to go hand in hand.” – James Basha (Entreprelearners)

And of course, let's not forget the controversial role of Artificial Intelligence, which has also impacted HR departments. On the one hand, AI has brought with it tools that allow streamlining processes within the department. However, for the area of the company that puts all the focus on people, it is very important to take into account that AI cannot replace the emotional intelligence of human beings, so its implementation is much more complex than in other areas of work.

To conclude the talk, we asked the speakers to take out the crystal ball to tell us about the trends they see for the future, HR 5.0. We have witnessed many changes in the management of this department that were driven by the pandemic, and now we see a new wave of change. Greater work-life balance for workers, as well as the challenge of changing the focus from individual management to community management and working on connecting people, were some of the ideas they shared with us.

“It is managing the diversity of people. Managing communities in companies.” – Camille Haddjeri (TRech International)

We thank our partners at Pack and the panel speakers for sharing their expert vision with us. See you at the next one!
