On June 26th we had the last AticcoTalk by PayFit, entitled »From the team to success», in which Pablo Calvo, Head of Sales at PayFit, explained what the new generations are looking for, the secrets of a healthy, valid team with a great desire to succeed.

This talk is part of the series of talks given at Aticco by PayFit with the aim of providing entrepreneurs and startups with the necessary training in human resources.

Third AticcoTalk by PayFit

In the new generations (the so-called Generation Z) we find a worker profile that is considerably different from its predecessors. This new profile is more flexible when it comes to work, is ultra-equipped, connected and represents a large part of the working population. In addition, it is a restless profile that changes jobs easily. That is why any leader who wants to attract and retain this talent has to understand 'what these new generations are looking for'.

Pablo highlighted some of the common motivations among these young people, such as the willingness to acquire responsibilities quickly in order to be able to give their best in the professional field, work flexibility - something that works and promotes productivity among employees -, meeting their salary expectations or the ambition to achieve a balance between professional and personal life, which are increasingly connected and difficult to separate from each other.

Pablo then detailed the changes in the recruitment process to find new employees. He also mentioned some of the tricks that they themselves apply at PayFit, such as the search for talent in new channels how Welcome to the jungle; the importance of having a truthful message with fit (that resonates with their values and concerns), the emotional salary with teleworking policies or flexibility. Among others, trust and empowerment of workers, or finding moments in which to have fun and enjoy together. Pablo highlighted the work environment as one of the most important motivations for the new generations, who are looking for close relationships and with whom to share moments and have a good time.

The PayFit case

PayFit is a platform that was born in Paris in 2016 and has since grown exponentially. It currently has more than 300 employees and more than 3,000 customers. In Spain it arrives in 2018 with the aim of covering a real need among SMEs: Simplify the management of payroll and HR processes.

Very much in line with the motivations of the new generations, PayFit explained some examples of how the company responds to these motivations through something as simple but as important as well-defined values, with which any PayFit employee can empathize, or moments of human connection in its selection processes. The consequence of these practices? Minimum turnover at PayFit.

This talk represented the end of a series of talks on human resources and the interesting management of a platform such as PayFit.
